DAVID STRIETER

For more than 40 years, Cleveland native David Strieter has been working in the field of music in several different arenas. He has worked successfully as a music director, studio musician, arranger/composer, worship leader, and teacher

He is currently one of the worship accompanists for Celebration Lutheran Church in Chardon, OH. He has also served on the staff of Good Soil Lutheran Ministries in Rocky River, HOPE Christian Church in Avon, Fairlawn Lutheran Church in Fairlawn, Bay Presbyterian Church in Bay Village, St. Paul Lutheran Church in Westlake and St. James Lutheran Church in Cleveland, as well as countless special music presentations at Ohio area churches over the past thirty plus years.  

In addition to sacred music, David has served as the Music Director/pianist for Neil ZaZa and keyboardist/arranger for Maria Jacobs. He partnered with Debbie Darling in 2016 offering musical programs across Northeast Ohio, and still performs with  the jazz trio he has played with for many years. He has played keyboards for several Cleveland area bands including Time Warp and Razzmatazz, and has been the accompanist for many theatrical productions.

David appreciates all musical styles and strives to perfect his performance in each genre. One of his greatest passions is arranging and orchestrating, especially creating new sounds for old standards. David also provides private instruction in piano, worship piano, improvisation, ear training and music theory.

David anticipates his first CD release in 2024. His CD entitled, On My Heart, will be a compilation of David’s arrangements of some of his favorite songs, including his infamous mash-ups with both classical and pop selections. Musical styles will include classical, pop, jazz and bravura taking you on a journey from the dazzling to the intimate.
